Volunteer FAQ

How do I volunteer?

First, we want to make sure you have an opportunity to get to know us, and we'd like to get to know you. To make sure you have time to settle in, there is a six-week welcome period. During this time, you'll get to know the Gathering and the staff, as well as see what might be a great fit through INTRO.

How do I volunteer with kids?

If you are experienced or interested in working in the children's ministry, volunteers will complete the INVOLVE class and then work directly with the pastoral staff on curriculum, plans, and placement.

How do I volunteer with music?

Following the six-week welcome period, if you are interested in joining the worship team, you can attend the INVOLVE session where you'll meet the team at a deeper level and learn more about the requirements, then a scheduled time of worship with the team where you can share your talent.

Are there other requirements?

In additional to a demonstrated faithfulness and commitment to the Lord and to the church, all volunteers must demonstrate the ability to perform or learn the skills necessary in their area of assignment.  Volunteers must also complete necessary background checks and review.
